Cynthia Washington is an IT Specialist (Policy/Planner), in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention providing Capital Planning and Investment Control Analysis and IT Program and Project Management disciplines including EPLC governance process and maturation for 11 National Centers and Offices. She has a BA in Management Information Systems, and is a Federal Acquisitions Certified (FAC) Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Program and Project Manager (P/PM); and Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME). She is a 30-year Civil Servant, serving 20 years in Information Resource Management, Budget and Procurement. She began her CDC career in the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry developing automated training data management and reporting systems. This past year, she provided Team leadership for FITARA Acquisition Implementation Initiatives that ensures CIO oversight of IT Acquisitions. She also served as Project Lead for the CDC Project Management Summit. She is currently the Enterprise CPIC Critical Partner and member of the CDC IT Program Management Peer Network.
